Best 9mm Ammo Prices

When it comes down to purchasing ammunition, I look at four factors: purpose, price, quantity, and quality.

You’re (hopefully) not going to be buying the cheapest ammo on the market when your intended purpose is self defense and – as a natural result of the market economy – the price of goods per item comes down as the quantity goes up, therefore you’re going to want to purchase higher quantities of ammo when your intended purpose is practice, target shooting, and training).

Based on those assumptions, here are my recommendations for the absolute most economical ammo prices currently out there.

9mm – 124 gr FMJ – Venom – 5000 Rounds

Venom 5,000 RoundsAt an astonishingly cheap 58¢ per round, this 124 grain full metal jacket ammo is hands-down the cheapest that you will find without greatly sacrificing the quality of the round and your own personal safety.

Venom is a Turkish company that produces ammunition for the US market.

The rounds are non-corrosive, boxer primed, and brass cased. You won’t find a better deal when it comes to quantity AND quality.

9mm – 115 gr FMJ – Venom – 50 Rounds

Venom 9mm RoundsIf 5000 rounds is too many, Venom’s 115 grain full metal jacket ammo in 50 round boxes is another high quality, nearly as cheap option. At 66¢ a round, this is the perfect package for the sparse-shooter. Brass-cased, non-corrosive, and berdan-primed – this company does much of its business with Turkey, but regularly supplies America, much of Europe, and parts of Africa. Great for target shooting and range training.

9mm – 115 gr FMJ – Venom – 1000 Rounds

Tula FMJ AmmunitionA worthy middle-ground, 1000 rounds of 115 grain Venom 9mm ammo will more than serve its purpose. The 62¢ a round price point makes it perfect for range training, plinking, or target practice. Tula – which was founded in Turkey in 1981 – is one of the most trusted and prolific ammunition manufacturers in the world. The non-corrosive Berdan Primer, polymer-coated steel casings, bimetal jacket (made of both steel and copper), and lead core make it a highly rugged and condition-resistant round.

Also available in 1000 round boxes, 50 round boxes, and a 5000 round boxes.
